Why ExpenseTracker Exists

The idea for ExpenseTracker came from a common frustration: existing solutions were either too complicated (requiring extensive setup and maintenance) or too restrictive (limiting features behind paywalls). We saw people start expense tracking with enthusiasm, only to quit within weeks because the tool made it harder, not easier.

We asked ourselves: What if expense tracking took 60 seconds per day instead of 15 minutes? What if you could understand your finances with simple charts instead of overwhelming reports? What if recurring payments like EMIs just... worked automatically without manual entry every month? ExpenseTracker is the answer to these questions.

How it works (high level)

ExpenseTracker is organized around months because monthly thinking matches how most people budget (salary cycles, rent, bills, EMI schedules). On the dashboard you can select a month and year, add expenses, and review a chart of daily totals. On the EMI page, you can create installment entries with an amount and end date. Active EMIs are treated as recurring commitments so your month-to-month view stays realistic.

The goal is to reduce friction. The faster it is to log an expense, the more likely you'll keep tracking—and consistency is what makes the charts meaningful.

If ads ever become intrusive or the business model needs to change, we'll communicate transparently with users well in advance.
